3. Activities leading up to receiving the Fiverr Brief
There I was, in the midst of a bustling day, juggling multiple projects and deadlines. My workspace was a symphony of activity, with the rhythmic tapping of keys, the soft hum of my computer, and the occasional ping of notifications. I was deeply engrossed in a complex JavaScript code, my mind weaving through the intricate maze of logic and syntax. The world outside my home office seemed a distant reality, as I was fully immersed in the digital realm of eLearning design.
My phone, lying next to my keyboard, buzzed with a new email notification. I glanced at it, my eyes catching the familiar Fiverr logo. The subject line read: “Content creation for digital course on SEO”. A new job posting. I felt a spark of curiosity, but my focus was still tethered to the code on my screen. I decided to check it later, once I had untangled the web of JavaScript that was currently occupying my mind.
As I returned to my work, the notification lingered at the back of my mind, like an unopened gift. I knew that once I delved into it, it would unravel a new challenge, a new journey. But for now, it waited patiently, a promise of a new adventure in the world of eLearning Instructional Design.
4. Response Strategy – Approaching the eLearning Instructional Design inquiry efficiently
As I read through the Fiverr brief, I couldn’t help but be reminded of a similar project I had worked on a while back. It was a high-ticket online course for a renowned tech company, and they were looking for an innovative way to engage their learners. The project was challenging, but it was also an opportunity to push the boundaries of what was possible with eLearning.
One of the key features of this project was the integration of conversational AI. We used a pop-up chatbot to answer questions that learners might have throughout the course. This not only made the learning experience more interactive but also provided instant support to the learners, enhancing their understanding of the course material.
Another innovative feature we implemented was the use of AI to generate quiz questions. The AI would analyze the learner’s progress and generate questions based on the areas they were struggling with. This personalized approach to quizzing made the learning experience more effective and engaging.
We also used a lifelike avatar to guide the learners through the course. This avatar was powered by AI and was able to interact with the learners in a natural and engaging manner. This added a human touch to the course and made the learning experience more enjoyable.
Finally, we used AI text-to-speech technology to translate the on-screen text into multiple languages. This made the course accessible to a wider audience and ensured that language was not a barrier to learning.
Looking back at this project, I am proud of what we achieved. We were able to create an engaging and effective eLearning module that pushed the boundaries of what was possible with eLearning. And as I read through this Fiverr brief, I am excited about the possibility of bringing these innovative features to your project as well.
5. My time is valuable and I need to make a quick decision on applying to this job or not.
As I read through this job posting, I can’t help but feel a sense of intrigue. The project seems to be in a stage where my expertise as an eLearning Instructional Designer could be of great value. The responsibility of taking over the reins from the business owner and previous course manager is a challenge I am familiar with and one that I relish. The requirement of dedicating at least 20 hours a week to this project aligns well with my current schedule, and I am confident in my ability to provide daily progress reports.
The skills required for this role are right up my alley. My extensive experience with Kajabi management, content creation, and restructuring content to ensure its effectiveness as educational material is well-documented on my portfolio website and Fiverr profile. I am also comfortable with setting up payment systems and have a knack for QA on new course content. The prospect of working with a team of 3-5 people is exciting, and I am confident in my ability to collaborate effectively with them.
However, the budget for this project gives me pause. While the hourly rate of $30.00-$50.00 may seem reasonable for some, I believe that the complexity and scope of this project, coupled with my extensive experience and skills, warrant a higher rate. My work is not just about creating content; it’s about creating engaging, effective learning experiences that drive business results. This requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles, creativity, and a commitment to quality—all of which come at a cost.
Given the budget constraints, I am hesitant to proceed with applying for this job. I firmly believe in the value of my work and the impact it can have on a business. While I am always open to negotiation, I also understand the importance of setting a fair price for my services. I am passionate about what I do and am committed to delivering high-quality work, but I also need to ensure that I am adequately compensated for my time and expertise.
Despite this, I am still open to a conversation with the project owner. Perhaps there is room for negotiation, or maybe there are other aspects of the project that could make it more appealing. But for now, based on the information provided in the job posting, I will hold off on applying.
6. Conclusion & Next Steps – Final decision on applying for the project and preparation for further actions
Greetings to my fellow digital wanderers and aspiring eLearning maestros! I find myself reflecting on a recent Fiverr Brief that landed in my inbox—a project with much potential but not quite the right fit for me at the current moment. The proposer laid out a vision that I am certain would resonate with many in the field; however, I’ve decided to take a different path and here’s why, wrapped up in a dose of my personal philosophy: “Good people, helping good people, just makes sense to me.”
In my response to the job post, I made it a point to maintain the utmost professionalism. Though I am not interested in pursuing the opportunity, I believe that every interaction is a chance to leave a positive impression and potentially sow the seeds for future collaboration. Here’s an example of how I crafted my reply:
Dear [Client’s Name],
Thank you for considering me for your project. I’m honored to be on the shortlist of instructional designers you believe could enhance your eLearning endeavor. Your project’s goals are admirably clear, and I’m confident it will enrich many learners’ lives.
Having reviewed your requirements and the project scope, I must respectfully decline the opportunity to bid at the current budget level. My experience has shown that projects of such scale and complexity require resources befitting their potential impact, which I believe is greater than the proposed rate.
However, I’d love to help steer you toward success regardless. There are several talented professionals in my network whose expertise aligns more closely with the budget and scope you’ve outlined. Here are a few Fiverr profiles of instructional designers that may better suit your current needs:
- User123 – Specializes in Kajabi with cost-effective solutions for startups.
- DesignerABC – Offers creative course structuring on a modest budget.
- InnovatorXYZ – An up-and-coming talent with flexible rate options.
I believe they could provide the scaffolding to build your vision into reality. Plus, nurturing good relationships within our community invariably leads to growth and opportunities that benefit us all.
Should your circumstances change, or should a project that fits within my particular set of skills and experience emerge, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I wish you the very best with your project, and I look forward to the possibility of collaborating in the future.
Warm regards,
Adam
